What Is A TSPA Beauty & Massage School Jump Celebration? August 19, 2021

It’s no secret that students at The Salon Professional Academy in Fargo are very talented, passionate and driven. We like to recognize their achievements at our monthly Jump Celebration.

Students in our Massage Therapy, Cosmetology, Esthetics and Nail Tech programs are recognized for achievements in several categories related to their field of study, such as: number of haircuts, massages, manicures, facials done during the previous month. Students are also recognized for perfect attendance. Then come the Jumpers. You’re probably wondering what in the world are Jumpers, right? Jumpers are students who have met specific criteria within their field of study, and are moving (jumping) from one level to the next. For example, a cosmetology student is required to perform a certain number of men’s cuts, women’s cuts, hair colors, etc… in order to Jump. Our level system is comparable to that of a salon or spa. The higher level is the more experienced, or journeyman. By using this system our students learn more, progress faster and are ready for the real world when they graduate.

We also recognize our student of the month, leaders for each team, and outstanding student for each of our programs. The balloons they receive are like a trophy. You will find them floating above the stations of recipients until the next Jump Celebration takes place.
