Congratulations to our Cosmetology students of the month, Melisa and Diana!

Get To Know Melisa:

Q- Where is your hometown?

A- Fargo, ND

Q- How long have you been a student at TSPA?

A-  8 months

Q- What is your favorite food?

A- Sushi

 Q- Why did you choose The Salon Professional Academy?

A- I chose TSPA because I grew up here in Fargo and would always even come here as a client myself. I was always curious about TSPA.

 Q- Why did you decide to pursue a career in Cosmetology?

A- I knew that I always wanted to do it deep down but I avoided that calling and went to college instead. At college I struggled everyday to enjoy what I was learning and I just knew one day I wanted to stop and pursue a career in cosmetology.

 Q- What is your favorite movie?

A-  Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

 Q- What one word best describes TSPA?

A- Busy

 Q- What is your favorite thing about TSPA?

A- Meeting new people and getting to work with all kinds of different personalities.

 Q- Who is your favorite band/music artist?

A-  Frank Ocean

Q- When did you first become interested in a career in Cosmetology?

A- I always thought about it in the back of my mind but i didn’t act on it until after i went through with my first year of college.

Q- What advice would you give to other students wanting to achieve high levels of success like you have?

A- Keep a positive mindset and a positive attitude. There were so many times I wanted to break down because of the work load I was putting on myself but l am testing my limits constantly. Be open to trying new things and take advice from others around you as well. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or for help.

Q- What do you plan to do after you graduate?

A- I plan to find a salon here in Fargo that fits me best.

Q- What do you like to do in your spare time?

A- Whenever I have alone time I like to color and watch movies.

Get To Know Diana:

Q- Where is your hometown?

A- Pelican Rapids, MN

Q- How long have you been a student at TSPA?

A-  11 months

Q- What is your favorite food?

A- Enchiladas Verdes from my Grandma.

 Q- Why did you choose The Salon Professional Academy?

A- I chose TSPA because it was fairly close to home and I wanted to be able to see my family.

 Q- Why did you decide to pursue a career in Cosmetology?

A- I originally was interested in Esthetics because I planned on only performing lashing services, but going to school here made me fall in love with hair, so I am thankful for the persuasion during my tour to get me into the Cosmetology program.

 Q- What is your favorite movie?

A-  Bajo la misma luna

 Q- What one word best describes TSPA?

A- VIBE!

 Q- What is your favorite thing about TSPA?

A- I can do services for my clients that they couldn’t afford elsewhere.

 Q- Who is your favorite band/music artist?

A-  Fuerza Regida

Q- When did you first become interested in a career in Cosmetology?

A- When I first learned how to lash in Mexico.

Q- What advice would you give to other students wanting to achieve high levels of success like you have?

A- Don’t complain! I think having a positive mindset and actually performing services that make me uncomfortable has helped me achieve success.

Q- What do you plan to do after you graduate?

A- I plan to work until December when I will be traveling to Mexico. When I return I hope to work in a salon near Pelican Rapids.

Q- What do you like to do in your spare time?

A- I enjoy concerts or just spending time with my family.
