Do you look forward to going to work each day? Unfortunately, a large percentage of the workforce do not enjoy their job, and dread going to work each day. They have not followed their dream of doing something they enjoy as a career. Maybe they encountered too many roadblocks at a young age, or found what they thought would be an enjoyable career is not for them. Or, as has become the case for many americans due to the pandemic or the shift in the retail industry, they have lost their job and took the first position available in a panic. There are countless stories of why so many people don’t enjoy their jobs.

It’s never too late to pursue your dream career!

Over the past 2 years the number of Americans going back to school to pursue a career they are passionate about has increased to record levels. Nearly 25% of the workforce plans to seek training for a new career. At The Salon Professional Academy we have seen a large increase in the number of students seeking a new career path after spending 5-25 years at jobs they no longer enjoy, or never enjoyed. From Bruce, who worked in the construction industry for more than 20 years and always dreamed of a career in massage therapy, to Ashley who worked in the insurance industry for more than 10 years and always wanted to be a cosmetologist, to Lisa who was in law enforcement for 16 years and found cosmetology to be her inspiration.
