The TSPA Advantage

The TSPA Advantage

At TSPA, we go far beyond teaching you about cosmetology, massage therapy, esthetics and nails. We also teach you how to market yourself and run a business.

Part of our business education program involves designing your own salon or spa, and branding it. We feel that “If you dream it, you can achieve it!” Our students have come up with some amazing designs and branding schemes over the years, and we are confident that some will become reality.

Our students enjoy presentation day, when everyone gets to see the creative branding and designs. That’s all great, but we also teach our students how to come up with a budget and business plan in order to make their dream a reality some day.

This is not only a fun assignment, it also teaches our students what it takes to launch and run a successful business. It also allows our students to unleash their creativity and imagination, away from the salon training area.

This is another example of how TSPA  programs are designed to train students for much more than passing the state boards. We develop the entire salon/spa professional with great technical ability, business & marketing training, and the guest handling skills that are in high demand by top salons and spas. We are growing salon and spa leaders, one student at a time.

 Winter 2019/20 Fashion Trends

 Winter 2019/20 Fashion Trends

Winter provides the perfect excuse to throw on jeans and a sweater every day from December through to March. That said, some days call for more than just denim. We constantly need the inspiration of  the street style crowd to pull ourselves out of style ruts.

It’s time to brush up on winter’s biggest trends by looking at what your favorite street style stars are wearing. We’ve narrowed down the street style trends to six digestible looks below. Give them a try, and say adios to the jean/sweater outfit (at least for six out of the seven days of the week).

Furry, Fuzzy Outerwear

Parkas and puffers are great for winter, but when you really want to feel like a million bucks, nothing beats a plush faux fur coat. And you’re never too late to hop on this trend. This season’s offerings are better than ever, with brands debuting furry coats in vibrant colors like pink and cobalt. If colorful fur isn’t your cup of tea, you can easily find a brown or black outerwear alternative. The coats are so cozy, you may even find yourself draped in one while you wait for the heat to be turned on.

Everything Fleece

It feels like all of our favorite brands are offering a fleece-something for the wintery season. Options include mixed prints and color-block designs in pullover styles or the more classic zip-ups we’ve all come to know and love. Fleece is comfortable, soft, warm—basically everything your body craves when the temperature drops. Give your denim and leather jackets a break for a cozier fleece pick, below.

Two-Tone Dresses

Can’t decide what color you want the garment to come in? The two-tone look solves that problem. Instead of having to stick with one color, you have the option to wear a half-and-half look for winter 2019. Though the color-block design is most prevalent in dresses, you can find two-toned tops as well by many brands. This small mash up of hues won’t dramatically alter your look, but it will add a little intrigue—and earn you brownie points for style.

Winter Suiting

The appeal of matching separates lies in the fact that you don’t have to overthink what to wear in the mornings—one decision and you’re ready to head out the door. It’s no surprise, then, that pantsuits have become a staple in a fashion girl’s closet, as evidenced by these street style shots. Whether you choose a check set or a plain colored pantsuit, you’ll feel like an instant boss woman in the ensemble.
