Admissions Recruiter
Hours required per week: 20 – 25
Travel required: 10% – 15%

Position Summary:  The Admissions Recruiter is a fast-paced, high-demand position. The Admissions Recruiter will be responsible for representing The Salon Professional Academy and its programs to prospective students, parents, career counselors, and area salon professionals. The primary focus of the Admissions Recruiter role is recruiting qualified applicants for admission to The Academy consistent with the highest ethical standards, in accordance with state and federal accreditation. The Admissions Recruiter is responsible for managing time and resources to generate interest in our programs, resulting in secured enrollments.

Bring a positive and professional attitude and you will fit right in! Admissions Recruiters enjoy motivating and helping others realize the benefits of an education. The Admissions Recruiter will be responsible to meet new people, give presentations, and answer questions about The Academy and the industry. This person will be responsible for guiding prospective future salon and spa professionals through the enrollment process, as well as through career placement after graduation.

Key Job Elements:
• Accurately and completely explain educational programs to students and parents
• Manage inquiries to achieve prompt and effective contact
• Secure new inquiries by directly asking phone and in-person contacts about referrals of others to contact that may be interested in programs offered
• Schedule interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for admission based upon career goal compatibility
• Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: open houses, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with area salons / spas to support student recruitment and placement efforts
• Attending school / college fairs and events
• Other duties as assigned

• Solid work history with verifiable references
• Sales background strongly preferred
• Previous experience in admissions capacity a plus
• Cosmetology license / salon experience a plus


Admissions Representative
Hours required per week: 12
Travel required: none

Position Summary:  Admissions Recruiters / Representatives are the first point of contact for prospective Future Professionals looking to pursue their educational/career goals in the beauty industry. You must have a desire to help make a difference in people’s lives. The Admissions Representative conducts all admissions activities with the highest integrity and business ethics while adhering to policies and procedures required by state & federal governing bodies as well as those set by The Salon Professional Academy. Admissions Reps need to be friendly and energetic as well as have excellent communication skills.

This position will conduct a high quantity of prospect phone contacts to secure appointments and interview activity, and conduct follow-up activity with unresolved interviewees and future class applicants. This specific position is comprised of 90% communication via phone, email, and text.

• Create and maintain accurate records throughout the admissions lifecycle
• Maintain recruiting operations by following established policies and procedures

Part Time Cosmetology Educator

Position Summary:  The Salon Professional Academy is seeking a dynamic, outgoing individual to join our education team. As an educator you will instruct, lead, mentor, and motivate students to reach their maximum potential. Utilizing our extensive curriculum you will make a difference in the lives of students by providing the professional and practical resources to nurture individual growth.

Key Job Elements:
• Instruct students in the practical application of cosmetology, nail technology, and esthetics
• Evaluate students’ performance in attaining goals and objectives as outlined by The Salon Professional Academy curriculum and performance goal charts
• Ensure safe and sanitary practices by students when practicing cosmetology and related sciences
• Project a professional image at all times to students, co-workers, and student salon training area guests
• Ensure guest satisfaction by effectively supervising student salon training area (clinic floor) when services are being performed
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Perform other education related duties as assigned

Skills/Competencies Required:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for the beauty industry & education
• Strong organization, presentation, and customer service skills
• Commitment to maintaining honesty and professionalism at all times

• Must hold an active cosmetology license in the state of North Dakota
• 3 – 5 years of recent salon experience required with verifiable references

• Knowledge of the Redken & Pureology product lines a plus


Part Time Front Desk Coordinator

Position Summary:  The Salon Professional Academy is seeking an experienced front desk member to join our team working in a high volume, fast paced, cosmetology school. In addition to maintaining a friendly and efficient flow at the front desk of the student salon training area, you will lead, mentor, and motivate students to reach their maximum potential.

Key Job Elements:
• Provide exceptional guest service, both on the phone and in person
• Accurately book, change, and cancel student salon training area appointments
• Educate clients / guests on the benefits of various services and products
• Train students on the front desk operations as part of their educational program
• Open / close the front desk in accordance with The Academy operating procedures
• Project a professional image at all times to students, co-workers, and student salon training area guests
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
• Perform other position related duties as assigned
